National Public School, Yelahanka was established in the year 2013 under the leadership and chairmanship of Dr. K.P. Gopalkrishna. It is an offshoot of the glorious lineage and tradition of the National Public School group of institutions that goes back more than six decades.

National Public School is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) which is the pre-eminent national level board of education established by the Government of India for public and private schools.
