Competition Overview

• Participants: Grades 9-12
• Team Composition: 4 students per team (one team per school)
• Duration: 5 min - presentation + 1 min - Q &A

Rules and Guidelines

Product Requirements

• Each presentation must fall within the 5 minutes' time frame.
• Presentations exceeding this duration will incur negative points.

Presentation Content

• Introduce your team and the product.
• Explain the underlying scientific principle(s) based on which the product is made.
• Highlight the product's innovative and sustainable features.
• Present the potential impact and benefits of the product.
• Use Visual aids (digital designs) to enhance your presentation.
• Create a short 30 sec advertisement to market the product.

Selection Criteria

Innovation and Creativity

• The product demonstrates originality and innovative thinking.
• Unique features and creative use of scientific principles are evident.

Scientific Accuracy and Relevance

• The scientific principles behind the product are clearly explained and accurate.
• The product is relevant to current scientific and technological trends.

Sustainability and profitability

• The product incorporates sustainable practices and materials.
• Environmental benefits and potential for positive impact are clearly articulated.
• Pricing strategy and profit margin should be mentioned.

Presentation and Communication

• The presentation is clear, engaging, and well-organised.
• Visual aids and digital designs effectively support the presentation.
• Team members demonstrate effective communication and teamwork.
